Yahoo! News - California Mounts Appeal of FCC's VOIP Order

Early in November the FCC voted to exempt Vonage from "traditional state public utility regulation" on the grounds that IP to PSTN traffic was beyond the reach of individual state regulation. It was a huge win for VOIP companies.

California is now appealing the ruling in the Ninth Circuit Court.
