Empirix Inc. Announces Acquisition of CT Labs, Leading Center for Independent Testing and Evaluation of VoIP and Next-Gen Equipment and Services
BEDFORD, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 12, 2005--Empirix® Inc. a leading provider of integrated test and management solutions for VoIP, Web and contact center environments, has acquired CT Labs, a leading center for testing and evaluation of voice over IP (VoIP) and other next-generation network equipment and services, located in Rocklin, California. Both Empirix and CT Labs are privately held. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
CT Labs will become an independent operating unit of Empirix, offering clients enhanced capabilities, including a new ultra-high density VoIP test facility for independent functional, interoperability, regression, performance and scalability lab testing. The lab will also expand its geographic focus to serve enterprises, equipment manufacturers and service providers worldwide.

Established in 1998, CT Labs is a recognized pioneer in the development and execution of VoIP and TDM-related tests to validate and assess network elements and networks, and has been selected to conduct numerous private tests and public test events. CT Labs will continue to utilize test equipment from a variety of vendors, and to operate under the direction of founder Chris Bajorek.
In addition to its broad range of lab-based testing services and comparative testing for leading industry media organizations, CT Labs will provide expertise to Empirix to assist in development of advanced solutions for VoIP testing and monitoring, particularly in the areas of test automation and test suite creation for the portfolio of Hammer test platforms.
